Interpretação

Simboliza a união dos opostos – dos princípios celeste e terrestre – que dá origem a toda manifestação na natureza. Ensina que o afeto espontâneo entre o homem e a mulher, livre de artificialidade e precipitação, cria a base sólida para um casamento frutificar.

No lar, a figura feminina – com suas virtudes de suavidade e receptividade – desempenha o papel central numa união harmoniosa e duradoura. É por essa razão que não se devem forçar as condições do momento. Precipitar as iniciativas, ou deixar que a ansiedade tome conta da situação, pode acarretar conseqüências muito desfavoráveis.

Há momentos que impõem retidão e recolhimento. O avanço voluntarioso na direção do objetivo desejado terá efeito nefasto. Em tais épocas, o segredo está em encontrar um lugar de paz, enquanto aguardamos que os prazos se cumpram.

Os príncipes da China antiga mantinham uma rigorosa hierarquia entre as damas da corte, que eram subordinadas à rainha, como as irmãs mais moças às mais velhas. Com freqüência essas jovens provinham da família da rainha que, ela própria, as encaminhava a seu marido.

Aqui se indica a situação de uma jovem casada com um homem que a decepciona. Marido e mulher devem agir juntos como os dois olhos. A jovem foi deixada para trás, sozinha. Aqui uma jovem da aristocracia se casa com um homem de condição modesta e sabe adaptar-se de maneira harmoniosa à sua nova condição. Ela se liberta da vaidade dos adornos externos e, em sua vida conjugal, esquece a origem nobre, se subordinando a seu marido, assim como a Lua ainda crescente não enfrenta o Sol diretamente.

Linha móvel (seis) na sexta posição significa:

A mulher segura a cesta que, no entanto, não contém frutos. 
O homem apunhala a ovelha, mas não corre sangue. 
Nada é favorável.

Durante o sacrifício dedicado aos antepassados a mulher devia apresentar os frutos numa cesta, e o marido matar, com suas próprias mãos, o animal a ser oferecido. Aqui o ritual se realiza apenas na aparência. A mulher toma um cesto vazio e o marido apunhala uma ovelha já morta, apenas para cumprir as formalidades.
